Join the ATC and ROC family!

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians:

We’re excited to invite you to the Area Technical Center (ATC) and Riverview Opportunity Center (ROC) preview night. The preview night will take place on November 18 between 5:30-7:00 pm at the ATC and ROC campus (395 High School Dr. Shepherdsville, KY 40165).

All students have the opportunity to take advantage of our specialized programs! Many of our students earn college credits and industry certifications. Below are short blurbs giving more information on programs mentioned above:

Area Technology Center:

The ATC has technical programs in Aviation, Aviation Maintenance, Automotive, Construction, Carpentry, Diesel Technology (ECTC), Drone Certification (JCTC), Electrical, EMT (JCTC), Industrial Maintenance (Automation and Robotics), Masonry, Welding, Computerized Machining (JCTC), Industrial Maintenance (JCTC), Electrical/Electronics Engineering (JCTC), HVAC (JCTC), Plumbing (JCTC), Toyota T-10 (JCTC), & Mercedes Benz (JCTC).  According to the Kentuckiana Workforce Innovation Board, all these programs lead to careers that are in the high-demand and high-wage sector. We have worked hard with our postsecondary partners at Jefferson Community and Technical College, Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, and Campbellsville University to create pipelines in these programs to complete college coursework. Students can also earn industry certifications and enter straight into the workforce upon graduation if they desire.

Riverview Opportunity Center:

The Riverview Opportunity Center houses three specialized programs for high school students, BAMS (Bullitt County Advanced Math & Science Academy), CRC (Career Readiness Center) and Criminal Justice program (Campbellsville University). The CRC program is geared for students that would like to take multiple ATC programs or possibly enter cooperative learning (CO-OP) and/or one of the other specialized programs. CO-OP students earn high school credit while getting paid to work on the job during the school day as a junior or senior in high school. The ROC offers a flexible schedule and small size that allows our students to take several college classes.

We invite you to explore with us and would love to see you on November 18!
